An osteopathic treatment involves gentle manipulation using a wide range of techniques to free the body’s tissues of mechanical stress and facilitate the body’s efforts to return to health. Particularly in the treatment of children a gentle coaxing hand is more effective than a forceful one. You may notice each osteopath has a slightly different manner of treatment, you may even find a certain style is more suited to you.

For every patient a case history is taken and a thorough examination performed. From the information gathered a diagnosis and prognosis are reached and an individual treatment plan discussed with the patient.

Treatment is individualised to the needs of the person primarily, not the symptoms.
